Glossary of Terms

  • ECB-  Extra Care Bucks.  Issued by CVS when purchasing qualified purchases. Can be used  just like cash on virtually anything in the store (excludes gift cards, tobacco, stamps).  Expires one month from date of issue.
  • SCR-   Single Check Rebates.  Rebate program offered by Rite Aid when purchasing certain qualifying products.  Rebates can be redeemed once a month and a check is issued.
  • CRT-   Cash Register Tape.  Store coupons that print on the bottom of your register receipt.  Can be combined with manufacturer's coupons for extra savings.
  • OOP-   Out of Pocket.  Your final cost after all coupons and store rewards have been used.
  • MM-   Money Maker.  Occurs when you earn more back in ECB/SCR than you spent.
  • MFQ - Manufacturer's Coupon.  Coupon issued by a manufacturer.
  • RP-      Red Plum.  Coupon insert in the paper.  Also coupon website at http://www.redplum.com/.
  • SS-      Smart Source.  Coupon insert in the paper.  Also coupon website at http://www.smartsource.com/.
  • PG-     Procter & Gamble.  Coupon insert in the paper (usually once a month). 
  • IP-       Internet Printable.  Coupons that are available to print from different websites.
  • $X/$XX-  Dollar of purchase coupons issued by store.  An example would be $5 off a $25 purchase.
  • BOGO-  Buy One Get One Free.
  • YMMV- Your Mileage May Vary.  Couponing isn't always black and white....some stores or cashiers may accept coupons that others may not.
